Young Ladies Institute 2019 Willa O’Leary Scholarships Announced

YLI President Peggy Hagerthy, Gerri Liberty (past president) and St. Catherine of Siena alumni, Carissa Baltazar (recording secretary), recently presented the Willa O'Leary YLI $500 scholarship to Ashton Viramontes a graduating 8th grader. Congratulations Ashton! This year St. Catherine of Siena 7th graders Lilliana Gonzalez and Craig Morgan received the two $200 YLI scholarships. They were chosen for "exemplifying student learning expectation".
 
Willa O'Leary was a longtime parishioner and a member of the YLI for twenty years. At the time of her death, she made a donation to the YLI designated for scholarships for St. Catherine of Siena 8th grades.
