PURPOSE: The goal of the Federation is to encourage Catholic f ith renewal, promote religious vocations, contribute to ministries in parish communities, foster children’s apostolate activities, and celebrate Italian-American traditions, all with an emphasis on family participation. The ICF is the major supporter of the Cooley’s anemia (thalessemia) research and treatment program at Children’s Hospital, the Federation’s national charity.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively participate in membership meetings, work together on two (2) family dinners annually for the parish and greater community, serve together at hospitality on various Sundays, provide support and servers for parish-wide events, as well as participate in apostolate works, and fundraising activities to support the national charity, seminarians’ education, and parochial school and high school scholarship funds.
QUALIFICATIONS: Members are Catholic. Although Italian in origin, members need not be Italian to join. Family memberships available.
AMOUNT OF TIME REQUIRED: ICF Branch #13 meets nine times a year at St. Catherine of: Siena parish center or hall from one to two hours. Our branch also offers children’s apostolate activities during this time. Time is also spent during the course of the year hosting hospitality, promoting spirituality, and participating and serving at various branch, district, and parish-wide events for the community.
COMMITMENT: Renewal dues are collected annually.
TRAINING: Federation materials are provided for review; workshops, training, and convention available for added knowledge.
RESPONSIBLE TO: The Branch President. Elections are held annually.
