A note from Joyce – “As You Begin the Journey”
“The Spiritual life is a journey about change. As you pray with the Cup you will undoubtedly experience opportunities for growth. These stirrings may be almost imperceptible, or they may be very noticeable. There is no goal that you have to meet as you pray through the weeks simply be open and allow yourself to be held in the shelter of God. Also allow yourself to be stretched a bit. You may find, at times, that your security is being challenged, that your rootedness in God is being drawn to depths you've not experienced before, or that your approach to life is being taken to the edge of your comfort zone. If this happens please don't run away from the edge.
Each of the six weeks of prayer focuses on one aspect of the Cup as a metaphor of spiritual growth. It is my hope that this guide will both revitalize and enrich your relationship with the Divine. Take your time with each week. You may need a month to pray a week. It makes no difference. The most significant dimension of your journey with the Cup is your intention of drawing nearer to God.”
