St. Vincent de Paul Thank You and Christmas Blessings!
We join our neighbors to thank all of you for your support of St. Vincent de Paul throughout the year. On Dec. 16 at the Christmas distribution, we served 79 households including 229 children and adults. We gave out 3500 dollars in Angel Tree Target and Walmart gift cards. St. Vincent de Paul volunteers and the Boy Scout Troop 1351 Martinez distributed bags of produce, food, and grocery cards for Christmas meals. Along with your donations, we received a holiday grant from the St. Vincent de Paul District Council. The neighbors are thankful to you for sharing the joy of Christmas.
We also thank you for your generous response to our monthly requests for food. For the month of JANUARY St. Vincent de Paul would like to request donations of peanut butter for our neighbors. Please no expired foods. Donations may be placed in the food basket which is located in the Monsignor Dean’s alcove off the Vestibule. Every donation goes out from our St. Vincent de Paul pantry to help those less fortunate. Thank you for the canned prepared food for the homeless in December. We are grateful for your generosity in helping us help others!
Please pass the word, friends seeking assistance can call Saint Vincent de Paul at 925-788-7409 for help. Your kindness and generosity allow us to continue to help those in in need among us.
